Hey Bright Eyes

shahla · November 12, 2018 · 11 Comments

“The beauty of a woman must be seen from in her eyes, because that is the doorway to her heart, the place where love resides.” Audrey Hepburn

What happens when those eyes have not gotten a full night’s sleep in years? In my case, the lack of sleep has caused the skin around my eyes to show its fatigue with fine lines and dark shadows. My kids are six and four, but they have always been (and still are) terrible sleepers. One of them will find his or her way to our room every night. I remember reading somewhere how terrible interrupted sleep is to your health. Well it has definitely shown through on my skin, especially my eyes. I look in the mirror and see someone who looks tired and dare I say it? Older. When I was given the opportunity to try the new Olay Eyes Brightening Eye Cream, I was excited to share my experience. While this post has been sponsored by Olay, the opinions are my own (as always!).

Olay’s newest eye cream has a combination of vitamins (including vitamin C, which my dermatologist always recommends I look for in skincare products), antioxidants and optic brighteners which help smooth and illuminate the skin. The cream has a great thick texture and you can see the luminescent properties.

I use the eye cream in the morning after I cleanse my skin and before I apply my makeup. My mom taught me when I was younger to use my ring finger to apply eye cream and press the cream gently into the area under the eye and on the brow bone. The optic brighteners do make an immediate difference as far as brightening the undereye area. After two weeks of consistent use of the Olay Brightening Eye Cream, I notice the fine lines are not as pronounced and that the skin around my eyes looks more hydrated. I find myself using less concealer under my eyes which is a big win for me!

Another benefit of Olay Brightening Eye Cream is that you can find it at so many locations. I love that I can purchase it at my local CVS any time I need more, saves me an unnecessary trip to the mall!

Now, if only I could get my kids to sleep better, I wouldn’t feel so tired! Until then, I will celebrate that with my new eye cream I don’t look as tired!

With love,

Shahla

I love olay! I use so many of their lotions. They are the only ones I can find that donโ€™t irritate my skin!
