These baseball ornaments (and softball!) are perfect for team gifts or even to display your favorite players on your tree. They are easy to make and I’ve got everything you need to make them listed right here below.

I wanted to make custom baseball ornaments to add onto my tree and realized it would be easy and adorable to do the same in a softball version. I love that you can customize these with your child’s photo. I created a little baseball trading card that you could put in the ornament. I’ve linked that customizable template at the bottom of this post.
Baseball ornament supplies
Here’s what you need:
- Fillable disc ornaments
- White “snowflakes” for baseball ornaments
- Yellow glitter “snowflakes” for softball ornaments
- Photo (I like to have mine be fairly small, 1.8 x 2.6 inches, so you can easily fit them into the ornament)
- Red vinyl if you have a Cricut cutting machine or red paint maker if you don’t have a Cricut.
- Ribbon (optional)
How to create your baseball ornaments
Cut your photo and roll it to place into the ornament. I like to print out my trading card photos at Walgreens. The quality is much better than what I print at home. Once it’s in the ornament I added my snowflakes (yellow or white depending on whether I was making a softball or baseball ornament). I used a funnel to add my snowflakes because it was much easier and cleaner to get everything inside the ornament! Replace the ornament cap.
Add baseball stitches using vinyl and your Cricut or a red paint marker. There are so many free baseball stitch files online. I measured mine to be perfect for the ornaments I linked above (a square with stitches that measured 3×3.25 inches).
Finish your ornament by adding a decorative ribbon.
Here is a link to the baseball card template. This is for personal use only. No selling or repurposing. If you would like more detailed instructions on how to personalize these baseball cards check out my post here.
I’d love to see what you create with these.
With love,
Shahla
