This DIY bat bow garland is adorable, customizable and shockingly easy to make. I also love that I was able to use a lot of things that I already had (I got rid of quite a bit of leftover black felt from a costume I had made a couple years ago- bonus win!). You can create a bat bow to decorate candlesticks, baskets, wreaths or even make an adorable hair bow! One thing you will need to print out is the template for the bat, I have included that at the bottom of this post.

Bat Bow Garland Supplies
- Black Felt (you can also use a faux leather- that would look awesome)
- Ribbon – I love this frayed black one and this toile one
- Scissors
- Glue gun
- White Crayon
- Bat template (this is for personal use only)
Instructions
Print out the bat template onto a piece of paper to use as a stencil or directly onto your felt using a Cricut machine. If you are using the template as a stencil, use a white crayon to trace the template onto your felt and cut out the shape. Then using a scrap piece of felt rub off the white crayon marks. Scrunch together the middle of the felt to create a bat shape. Hold it together by tying a ribbon around the middle to secure. Add some ribbon to style. Connect the bats by gluing together the wings with a dab of hot glue. Add ribbon to the end of the bat bow garland with glue and hang wherever you want to decorate! See, so easy peasy! Am I right?!
