Smart Home Living: A Kitchen That Can Organize Your Life

shahla · July 4, 2018 · 26 Comments

This is a sponsored post written on behalf of Samsung Home Appliances. All opinions are my own

Raise your hand if you feel like you need help getting your life organized! I am raising both of my hands way up. Confession time: I’ve lost count of how many times I double booked (or even triple booked) our family this year. I am terrible at managing our family calendar and this means everything from activities, turning in forms to meal planning. That is why I appreciate companies like Samsung that put an emphasis on connected living and create innovative products that can make our lives easier, more organized and streamlined!

Last week, I visited Samsung’s offices in Mountain View, CA, toured their Product Innovation Team labs and experienced the Samsung booth at Pacific Coast Builders Conference to speak to the minds behind so many of Samsung’s innovative technologies. I learned that 60 percent of our waking lives are spent in the kitchen. If you really think about it, where do we congregate at most parties? In the kitchen. For us, the kids do homework while I cook or wash dishes in the kitchen. My kids also love helping me cook and bake. I completely agree that most of our day at home is spent in the kitchen. As I was ahhing and oohing over the features of Samsung’s Chef Collection appliances and Family Hub refrigerator, I was thinking about how they would make us more organized and effective with our time and money.

Meet Your New Assistant

Do you know how many times my husband has mentioned that I need an assistant to help keep our calendars in order and help with our to-do list? Well, the Family Hub does just that. From its calendar app to its meal planning capabilities, not only would our family be more organized, but we would save money by eating at home more. I am embarrassed to say that I throw out a lot of expired food. Mostly because I either buy duplicates or forget and don’t use my produce in time. Also, with the cameras inside the Chef Collection refrigerator, while at the store and via the compatible app, you can see inside your refrigerator to check inventory before you buy. And as you cross off items on your shopping list, the app will project an expiration date. I can see what is expiring first and use the recipe app to meal plan for those ingredients on hand. How incredible is that?!  Learn more about Chef Collection here.

The (Sometimes) Short Order Cook

We have various dietary restrictions in our home and some nights we end up cooking different meals. The Chef Collection oven has the capability to go from a single oven to a double oven! I LOVE this flexibility as I can make a pizza for the kids at the same time that I bake our mahi mahi! Plus with the blue LED light display, I can see if I have left the oven on from across the room.

Kitchens Are Made For Dancing!

When I was younger all of the important things happened in the kitchen, whether it was helping my mom or talking to her about what happened in school that day. Many of my after-school memories were made in the kitchen. I am carrying on this tradition with my own kids, however we have added one more…dancing in the kitchen! We have had more dance parties and lip sync battles in our kitchen than I can count. With the Family Hub, you can play music through the Pandora app and built-in AKG premium speaker. You can also send messages and pictures to another family member in real time. It is amazing how the Family Hub can really connect a family whether in the kitchen or on the go.

Would you update your kitchen with the Samsung Family Hub refrigerator or Chef Collection oven first?

With love,

Shahla

I could see my kids watching the fridge like a Tv. It sure beats them opening up the door all the time.

I love Samsung products. This would be a great help to reducing food spoiled and love that the app recommends recipes to use up your foods.

Tough choice! I don’t know what one I would choose to update my kitchen with first. Technically, my oven is fairly new, but it isn’t too modern. I would probably choose the Chef Collection Oven
