Valentine’s Day is quickly approaching and I have an adorable and easy valentine that is perfect for your kids or classroom. Thank you to Oriental Trading for partnering with me to create these ‘I Dig You’ Valentine beach play sets. At the bottom of this post you will find the free printables to download these tags.
The afternoon of my daughter’s school Valentine’s party is usually a rough one as she is crashing from the sugar rush brought on from all of the chocolate and candy valentines. I typically stick to the non-consumable kinds of valentines, and this one is my favorite so far! These mini beach play sets are colorful and each plastic set includes a bucket, shovel, rake and scoop.
They are perfect for little hands and awesome for the park, beach or sensory play.
I printed the tags on lightweight cardstock and attached them to the beach sets. You can fill them up with stickers (I found a large bag of the ones pictures at Oriental Trading) or kinetic sand.
If you aren’t wanting to venture down the DIY route, check out these adorable and affordable (candy-free!) options that Oriental Trading offers:
- These bug eraser valentines are adorably shaped like a mason jar and have a rubber bug shaped eraser with cutesy sayings.
- My kids love “science projects”. I use that term loosely as to a two and five year old a science project can literally mean just watching something grow. These “My Heart Grows For You” Valentine’s Day Cards are perfectly fun for them!
- These “I’ve got my eye on you Valentine” eye ring cards are fun and a hit with the kids!
- The ruler valentines are a favorite of our preschool teachers and they are so cute too!

What do you all have planned for Valentine’s Day?
With love,
Shahla
Seriously sooo cute!
Thanks so much!
Aww, I dig these! 🙂 My kids make their own Valentines too (sometimes with printables) and I usually make their favourite dinner and dessert (something easy like mac and cheese) and give them a little treat like a beanie boo and a couple of chocolates. I love celebrating with my special valentines!
I love that Julie! What a special tradition for your family!
I love NOT giving (and getting) candy!! These are too cute!
I feel the same, Kim!! Thank you!!
What an adorable idea!
Thank you!
