We are excited to check out the opening of Pixar Pier at Disney California Adventure this summer. I found these adorable Toy Story patches from Shop Disney and knew I had to use them. This post contains affiliate links which means I get a commission at no cost to you. One of my must-haves on any Disney trip is a cross-body purse (or even though my husband cringes…a belt bag. It’s a stylish one, ok?!). Pretty much, I need to have my hands free to either hold my three-year-old from running away OR to be able to eat churros and all the Mickey-shaped treats. The latter is usually the case.
The round cross-body straw bags are perfect for a summer trip to Anaheim. Or really any time because it always seems like it is warm at Disneyland! I found one that is the perfect size and has a zipper to keep all of your items secure. I also liked that this particular one has a pocket perfect for passes or cash. And I really liked that it is under $30!! I purchased it from H+M, they are sold out online, but check your local store.
These emoji Toy Story patches are so cute! They have lots of other ones too (like The Little Mermaid, Incredibles, etc.) so you can customize your bag to your liking. I love finding ways to have unique items, especially on Disney trips. Plus, my daughter is really digging this one so I am lucky I bought two packs of patches to make her a purse too. By the way, my daughter reminds me so much of Bonnie from Toy Story, so this bag is perfect for her.
I set out the patches where I wanted to adhere them. Then, I removed the backing (these are adhesive patches) and hot glued the back of the patches. The reason I removed the backing is that I didn’t want the paper to adhere and then have the patch rip off if it got caught on something. I glued the outer corners and then glued an ‘x’ down the middle to make sure they bond to the bag. I Would push down on top of the patch and then from the inside of the purse push up to make sure the glue sticks well.
(Excuse my old-lady hands and dire need for a new manicure!)
Any plans on visiting Disneyland to see Pixar Pier this summer? What is your favorite Pixar movie?
With love,
Shahla
