Halloween Nacho Bar

shahla · August 26, 2024 · Leave a Comment

This Halloween nacho bar is a crowd favorite and perfect for your Halloween parties or dinner before you go trick-or-treating. With some planning it is easy to feed a crowd and I love that even my pickiest eaters will find something they love on the board. This post contains affiliate links which means that I make commission when you shop through those links at no added cost to you. Thanks for supporting the blog!

Setting The Mood

The serverware of your Halloween nacho bar really sets the mood. I have been collecting my Halloween dishes for over a decade so sadly I cannot link everything. One of my favorite items I bought a few years back is a version of this unfinished coffin sign. They’ve changed it a bit through the years. While I don’t think it is food safe, I use fun food-grade parchment paper (like this checkered one or this Halloween one) so my food never actually touches the surface of the sign. Last year, I decided I wanted to change up the tone of the wood without using chemicals. I used coffee to stain the sign and I love how it looks! Staining it with coffee is easy. I used instant coffee and a foam brush and made the coffee to be like sludge. I would paint it on and rub it off, then allow it to dry. Once dry, repeat. This method was repeated four times until the desired tone was achieved. I use this coffin board for my Halloween nacho bar, charcuterie and more.

Halloween Nacho Bar Shopping List

Here is what’s on my shopping list for my Halloween nacho bar:

  • Tortilla chips
  • Guacamole
  • Salsa
  • Shredded Cheese
  • Cilantro
  • Jalapeno
  • Beans
  • Sour Cream
  • Eye sprinkles to add on top of guac and salsa
  • Chicken breast
  • Ground beef
  • Queso dip
  • Taco shells (sometimes the kids prefer to make tacos and I like to have this option)
