This back to school teacher basket is perfect to gift from the class as a way to welcome the teacher back to school or celebrate making it through the first week. It can also be the perfect gift for teacher appreciation week. When I saw this beautiful hand-painted ceramic popcorn bucket at HomeGoods, I purchased two! One for myself and I knew I needed to incorporate the other into a gift. I paired the popcorn bucket with a few items (I also made a silly mistake that I will share) to make for a cozy movie night at home. I have also included my free printables in this post. These are for personal use only. Please do not resell them or try to pass them off as your own.
It made for a perfect teacher basket! I have said this before and I will say it again: I love giving teachers gifts that have nothing to do with the classroom. Especially supporting their hobbies and taking the time to learn about their favorite things. One of the ways I learn about their favorite things/hobbies is sending out a teacher survey at the beginning of the year. This helps guide me throughout the year (I am usually a room parent) when I am putting together birthday, holiday or teacher appreciation gifts.
Back to School Teacher Basket Supplies
- Yellow paper shred
- Popcorn
- Various candies (I added the Lemonheads because I loved the pop of yellow!)
- Gift tag (I kept this general so you can use it whenever- first week of school or last week of school)
- Gift card for a movie at home (Here is where I made a mistake- I purchased a Fandango card thinking they can use it for Fandango-at-home. However, they sadly aren’t interchangeable).
There you go- it’s really that simple! Please tag me if you make this. I love seeing your creations!
With love,
Shahla
